Rev Ellen Johnson-Price
Interim Pastor
Ellen was born and raised in Fairbanks, and has a deep love for Alaska. After studying linguistics at Swarthmore College in Pennsylvania, she earned a Master's of Divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary in 2003. She was ordained by the Presbytery of the Yukon here in Alaska later that year and moved to Geneva, NY, where she served as pastor of two small congregations for the next six years. Returning to her home state in 2010, she settled in Anchorage and completed a one-year residency as a hospital chaplain at Providence Alaska Medical Center before returning to parish ministry. Outside of church, Ellen enjoys reading, walking and biking and being outdoors in nice weather, attempting Pilates, traveling, and playing with her sweet but slightly nutty dog Snickers.
