AWAIC provides safe shelter and intervention for victims of domestic violence. AWAIC helps to empower all those affected by domestic violence to make positive decisions about their lives.

Anchorage Rescue Mission
The Anchorage Gospel Rescue Mission is dedicated to demonstrating the love and power of God and to bringing people into a life-changing relationship with his son Jesus Christ. it serves the poor, needy and homeless in our community. The Rescue Mission is a non-profit organization that receives no municipal, state, or federal funds. The Rescue Mission offers educational and counseling programs in an attempt to foster opportunities for healing, growth, and employment for those in need.
Statement of Purpose: We are a Christian organization and our purpose is to show God's love through example and in a practical manner by providing for the needs of the homeless, poor, needy, and dysfunctional people in our community. Our goal is Rescue and Rehabilitation. Our aim is to return the people that come to us for help to being useful citizens in society

Clare House
Clare House provides temporary, emergency 24-hour shelter for women with children and expectant mothers (over 18). residents receive daily meals and referrals for childcare, substance abuse/mental health, affordable permanent housing, employment and continuing educational opportunities. Case management services are an integral part of the program to help women in their transition from homelessness to independent living.

Downtown Soup Kitchen
The Downtown Soup Kitchen exists to demonstrate God's heart for the hungry and homeless in Anchorage, Alaska.

F.I.S.H. (Fellowship In Serving Humanity)
F.I.S.H. delivers emergency food aid to people in need in Anchorage, responding to a call for help through a network of volunteers.
Whether at the end of a paycheck, out of work, beset by illness or in a family crisis, many people face difficult times. F.I.S.H. wants to be there for those who find themselves in an emergency needing food.
F.I.S.H. is the only food pantry in Anchorage that delivers food directly to homes on a regular basis. During 2008, F.I.S.H. delivered 110,070 meals to 12,230 people: 6,629 adults and 5,601 children.
First presbyterian collects pasta weekly from members of the congregation to help supply the F.I.S.H. pantry.

Mary Magdalene Home, Anchorage
The Mary Magdalene Home Alaska, Inc (MMHA) is a non-profit, faith-based organization providing a network of care to support women leaving a life of sexual exploitation in transforming their lives spiritually, mentally, and physically. MMHA is dedicated to the recovery and rehabilitation of women who have been involved in prostitution and seek a way to redirect their lives. It is named after St. Mary Magdalene, the penitent sinner and devout follower of Jesus. Clients range in age from 18 to late 50s.
